RPM variations
Hi,
I wonder if you could advise please? I suspect that the engine needs a general tickerty-boo, but I'm finding it difficult to find any mechanics in the Epsom, Surrey area who really know about these cars.
If I get the RPM to 1000 then place the car in drive while holding it on the brake, the revs die slightly, but then taking the car out of drive, the revs do not recover, until I give a touch on the accelerator. If I keep the car in Drive, the revs continue to diminish until the engine stalls. Any ideas please? - 2.8i 1984.
Many thanks.
