Wow that's cheap, trouble is if they were all that cheap over here the banger boys would be snapping them upFredTransit wrote:Well the euro is near on 1 to £1 now, so take it as £260....
Re: Hola.Meet Maria from Spain
Hi Fred. wee bit rust in the usual place bottom of rear roof pillar. The spainish guy that I bought the car from wanted 1200e and told me it was a classic but when he saw the cash in my hand the deal was done.
The car had a big dent in the passenger door and no door exterior trim. One push and it popped out.A wee dent below the trim oh and the trim was in the boot. Needed a battery and the exhaust was broken at the back of the silencer but here they tend to repair things rather than renew so the exhaust will be welded.
Runs a bit rough and needs a service.Autobox not the best .Tends to snatch gears not very smooth but tends to work ok.Ideas pls. Maybe a box oil change would help?
Apart from that Im chuffed to bits. Im looking for 4 0r 5 of the wee plastic trim clips if anybody has any for sale.Ford here want 30e for 24 clips . eh 24 ?
The local classic car club here tend to be old SEATS and Fiat(seat) 500s BMWs and Mercs so i will hit them next summer with the Granny when shes sorted out.
Great site and I hope you can help me as Im not to technically mined.
Adios.

I think yo will find the trim clips are pretty universal amongst Fords, have you tried to get some for something newer like a sierra?
Re: Hola.Meet Maria from Spain
Problem Iv got is I dont want to buy a pack of 24 coz ford dealer wont split also the local scrappies wont let you into the cars and defo wont sell me the clips. They would sell me the trim or a door no probs lol. not a lot off sierra and grannys about in my area.Im back in Scotland in a couple of weeks so I will try scrappies then Oh im also a tight Scotsman lol.
